The Empties # 6

I knoooooow, another empties post!! *pats myself on the back* Aside from finishing up makeup, throwing away Floral Curtains (:P) and unused skincare products, I've also finished up some skincare products! Hay, decluttering is so therapeutic.

I was so happy when I finally finished up my bottle of the RMK Gel Creamy Foundation. I've had it for so long, and while I did loved it, and I just wanted to be done with it. See, I have a long-standing agreement with myself that I can't buy a new foundation if I haven't finished up a foundation lol.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Concealer, was probably the most raved about drugstore concealer on Youtube. It really does cover your dark circles, does not crease, and was very easy to blend out. I bought mine in Hong Kong, but it's now available locally! I've already repurchased this! :)

Minus the smell, I loved the Althea Petal Velvet Powder. It does keep my oil at bay, does not leave white cast, & does not cake up on me even if I apply tons of it. It's cheap, too, at P210 a pot. Before I had the Althea powder, I used the Innisfree No Sebum Powder. They function pretty much the same way, but the Althea one controls oil better. I still prefer the No Sebum Blur Powder over this one, though.

I also had these two cleansers on my last The Empties post, so you know I really do love both! I'm really gutted that I've gone through my last tube of the Clearasil Hydra-Blast. It's not available locally, and it's so hard to find in stores in the US (or at least, I think so, because people kept bringing  me back the wrong variant hahaha :P)

The Innisfree Bija Trouble Facial Foam one is quite easy to find online so I'm not too bothered about finishing it lol. This has been a personal favorite since 2014, so you know my skin loves it.

and it smells so good! I switched to Aloe Gel, which doubles as my.

The Sun Bum Sunscreen Lotion SPF50 is my favorite sunscreen ever. I never bother with face sunscreen until I got this because this is just so light and comfortable, it doesn't even feel like a sunscreen. This is a chemical sunscreen which I prefer over physical ones (no white cast!). It's a body sunscreen, but I used it on my face, and didn't breakout so, yay.

Klairs Supple Preparation Toner was my first non-western toner (aka not harsh, not astringent). This is thicker than your average toner, so instead of putting it on a cotton pad, I just put some on my palm, and pat the toner directly on my face.

Skin & Lab White Vita-C Essence is something that I still don't exactly know what it does/did, but now that I finished the bottle, my skin feels duller somehow??

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin was a favorite and a staple on my evening skincare routine, I've never repurchased it because I wanted to try their Niacinamide, but never gotten around to purchasing it either lol.

Speaking of The Ordinary, I'm almost done with my Advanced Retinoid 2% (now Granactive Retinoid* 2% Emulsion), but I still have an unopened bottle left.. I bought it when Deciem was acquired by Estee Lauder, and was scared they would change the formulation haha. When I finished up all my The Ordinary skincare, I'm definitely going to say sayonara to the brand. Sadly.

(Or when Brandon leaves the company, maybe I'd go back to it lol hmm)

  1. I also just finished up the Skin & Lab serum. It's vitamin C for lightening dark spots etc and for an overall brighter complexion. I don't see any differences in my skin though :/
