EASY EATS: Homemade Pizza Dough (and Chicken Barbecue Pizza!)

I think I want to start a new series where I post super easy to follow/make recipes. The majority of my time is now spent in the kitchen, and not in front of my makeup dresser; so I thought, a food series is actually something I could keep up with! :P

I never thought making a pizza from scratch would be so easy!! Had I known earlier, I wouldn't have spent so much buying frozen pizza dough! Literally you only need two ingredients for the pizza dough. TWO!

For the Pizza Dough, you'll need:

  • 1 1/2 cup Self Rising Flour
  • 225g Greek Yogurt

aaaand that's it. SERIOUSLY. Most people I know don't actually own self rising flour, so you can use this recipe instead:

  • 1 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 225g Greek Yogurt

  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
  2. On a work surface, dust the area with some flour, and knead the mixture until it's incorporated
  3. If the dough is still sticky (which it won't be if you followed the directions properly lol), just add more flour
  4. Separate the dough into two
  5. Roll it thinly. (and I mean thinly; this is super important because if not rolled thinly, the dough will be tough!)

For the Chicken Barbecue Pizza, you'll need:
  • As much cooked chicken breast as you want
  • 2 Tbsp Barbecue Sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Barbecue Sauce
  • Red Onions
  • Bleu Cheese (you can use Gouda, Sharp Cheddar or Mozzarella as well!)

**In advance, add the 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce to the cooked chicken breast, and let it marinade for a few minutes.

  1. Brush some olive oil on the pizza dough that you just made. This will "brown" it, and make it extra crispy!
  2. Add enough barbecue sauce on the pizza dough. Just enough so it would cover most of the dough, leaving just a 1/4 inch bare so you'll have a crust.
  3. Add your chicken slices
  4. Slather on the cheese
  5. Slice the red onions, then add them on top
  6. BAKE for 15 mins at 400-450F.
