Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme in Nude

Long overdue review for the Becca Ultimate Coverage Creme — I don't even have this foundation anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Becca Ultimate Coverage Creme retails for $38 at Sephora. I picked this foundation over repurchasing the Dior Nude Air Serum because of the price - which let's be real, not bad for a high-end foundation. It's not very easy to find a high-end foundation at Sephora for less than $50. Also, great to note that Becca is one of the few cruelty-free brand carried by Sephora (although the brand has since been acquired by Estee Lauder).

I guessed blindly, and decided to buy the shade Nude. When I got home, I compared it side by side to the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Beige 33 (my perfect shade), and to my relief, it was a great match. Nude is on the more neutral side, but once applied on my face does not look off at all.

True to its name, it really does give you full coverage. Unlike the Dior Forever Foundation, this foundation actually covered all my acne scars in one layer (and yes, one pump). The texture is thick, and obviously (no surprises there), it wasn't the easiest foundation to apply. It's not streaky by any means, but the foundation sticks so much on your skin, so you really have to drag your foundation brush/sponge for it to blend properly.

Although I have to say, because of that, this foundations stays on all day! Not a bad deal for 5-minutes of extra buffing, hmm.

I'm not sure if it's because of aging, but I find that my skin isn't as oily anymore. My t-zone area is still oily, but the rest of my face is more on the drier side. When I put this on, my face looks super flat. I don't like applying contour on an everyday basis, but when I use this foundation, I have to contour else my face will have no dimension lol.

I definitely can recommend this foundation for those with oilier skin though, because once it mixes with the oil on your face, it'll look so much better, and more natural.

  1. Wow, a great find! :D I haven't blog-hopped in a while. Missed reading a lot! Hehe..
