Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint in RD03

I'm not very familiar with Korean makeup, mostly because I'm not very fond of it. (Their skincare products, on the other hand, are fantastic) Most of their face bases are too light for me, eyeshadow too glittery, blushes too sheer, lipsticks too bright & glossy...

The first time I heard of this Wine Lip Tint was early this year, when my cousin's girlfriend asked me to buy her one when I went to Korea. Unfortunately, I didn't find the store in Myeongdong. I almost got lost until I found a Tourist Information Center lol.

I did eventually found it in Hong Kong, while walking at Central Station.

RD03 was the least offensive (aka least bright) among the 3 red shades that they have. My first thought when I swatched it was, "wow, the color looks exactly like a Merlot!" Then I found out its full name - RD03 Merlot Burgundy.

The camera made the color much brighter and pinker than it is, but it's really not. It's a bit streaky and applies unevenly, but it's a lip tint, not a liquid lipstick so that's pretty forgivable.

This is how I prefer to use the tint. I dab it on the center of my lips, then use my finger to blend it outwards. It gives a pretty good gradient effect, and for some reasons, makes me look nicer and younger.

The tint feels like nothing on my lips. On most days, I found myself gravitating towards using this instead of my other lip products because of how light it feels. It also doesn't flake, doesn't migrate out of my lips, and does not transfer. It last through the whole day, too. (Well, until you eat anything remotely oily, then for sure it will be gone).

I wish I bought a couple more, because this one definitely converted me to lip tints!

What are your favorite Korean lip products? :)
