Brand Focus: Catrice Cosmetics

I think it's quite silly to say sorry every time I go MIA here because I do it so often. To be fair, the reason why I was absent this time was because I didn't have any access to my photos because everything was in my (then broken) Macbook. But, everything's fixed now so all's well, finally!

I actually bought these products 3 months ago at SM Aura. (Yes, it's been that long!)

I don't know anything about the brand Catrice, but I was ~*attracted*~ to their kiosk because I love the classy, minimalist packaging of their products. Just look at the blush! ♥

This is me, basically:

(Bet that's you, too hmmm)

The All Matt Plus Powder (P299) isn't anything special. It's comparable to those cheap Maybelline face powders - in short, just okay. It keeps me moderately matte for a good couple of hours, but don't expect it to keep your oils at bay all day because it won't. It doesn't include a powder puff, so that's a downside if you want to use it for quick touch-ups.

Under the SM Department store's lighting, the Sun Glow Bronzer (P399) looked very neutral in both the pan and on my arm swatch. Unfortunately, when I swatched it at home, under natural lighting, the bronzer looked orange. Que horror. When applied on the face though, it does tend to look considerably cooler. But definitely not something that you can use to contour. Great for your pale ass face, though!

The Defining Blush (P349) in Think Pink is amazing, and my favorite among all the stuff I've bought! The shade I got is very, very close to Burberry Blossom. This shade packs a punch - it's highly pigmented, and isn't powdery at all so you only need to dip your brush very lightly in the pan to get some color. It stayed on all day, too! Nothing worse than your blush disappearing by the end of the day! I love this blush so much, and am planning to buy a few more when I go back!

Have you tried anything from this brand? :)

  2. That blush looks super pigmented! I wish Catrice were available in Australia - I've heard so many good things about their products and their affordability for the quality is a huge plus. Some of their shades of eyeshadows are super pretty and right up my alley as well (because obvs you can never have enough neutrals).
