Throwback: MAC In The Groove Eyeshadow Trio

(Swatch from Temptalia)

My godmother gave some makeup to me, and included is this MAC In The Groove eyeshadow trio from the collection of the same name launched back in 2010. I think she got this particular trio from a CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet).

It's a mineralized eyeshadow meaning you can use it wet or dry. I used this dry for this look, and honestly, it's lacking in pigmentation. I know eye palettes are not MAC's strongest point, which is disappointing because their single eyeshadow are amazing!

I did my foolproof eye makeup 'technique'... which is, basically using a light wash on the lids, a darker color on the crease, and the darkest on the outer-v. Here I used the light cream all over my lid up to my brow bone, layered the pink shade on my lids and lightly dabbed the shimmery cranberry color on the outer-half of my crease.

I also used this trio when I recreated Kirsten Stewart's look here!

Overall, it's a lovely trio and I'm glad I received it. I, personally, wouldn't buy these mineralized eyeshadow as I think it's just pointless to have to wet it to get better color payoff. But hey, if you like this one, I'm pretty sure you can still find this one at Allcosmeticswholesale.

What are your recent finds lately? :)

By the way, I did a Revlon lipstick collection swatches on my Youtube!

  2. Why are Christine's swatches so much more vibrant? Does age have anything to do with it? That would be an interesting point.

  3. I wonder why Christine's swatches are so much more vibrant than yours. I wonder if it has anything to do with age... That would be an interesting topic.
