The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream

When BB Creams were new to the blogging world a couple of years ago, I went looking for one that has a medium-full coverage (I have a relatively clear t-zone area, but I have a lot of acne scars on my cheeks), but unfortunately I couldn't find one. Most, if not all, has light-medium coverage, and that just won't do for me.

That was the end of my BB Cream search. Or was iiiit?

Before & After. ONE LAYER ONLY. Look at how much coverage it gives!

...of course not. While browsing the internet, I came across The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream and found out that it has fantastic coverage. As you can see in the photo above, it covered my blemishes completely with just one layer. Perfection is definitely the best way to describe this BB Cream ;) I got mine as a pasalubong from my cousin when she went to Seoul last year so I'm sorry if I can't tell you how much this is (maybe around Php700).

The Power Perfection BB Cream has only two shades - this one, and another that is much lighter than what I have. Because this shade isn't the right match for me, it can yield a grayish cast when not applied properly which is quite unfortunate. I tried to wear 2 layers of this, and it left me looking like an extra on The Walking Dead.

I really, really liked this BB Cream, and if it was a shade (or two) darker, this would have been an HG product for me. The finish is really great, too  - not quite matte and not quite dewy so it stays on really well on my skin. It doesn't cling on dry patches, yet doesn't melt even in intense heat. Unfortunately, much as I love this, wearing this out just isn't very ideal - unless I aspire to look like a Geisha.. well, then I guess this would be perfect for that. I wish they have a bigger shade range because this BB Cream is just sooo good. :(

Have you tried Korean BB Creams? :)

  6. Hi Anon! I applied moisturizer, sunblock then a face primer! :) You can skip the primer, I guess but apply moisturizer 'cause this BB cream's pretty thick and a little hard to blend. :)
