I didn't think the time would come when I would actually
Wearing Kalahari on the lids, Galapagos on the crease, Coconut Grove on the outer corner
NARS & God Created Woman Set ($59) is a limited edition palette that came out early this year as part of the brand's Spring 2013 collection. If I have to describe this palette in one word it would be: wonderful (or beautiful, fantastic, gorgeous, lovely...) I bought it during Sephora Chic Week so I got it at an extra 15% off.
The set came with a medium sized Pro-Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow base and a flat shade brush (#3), and the 6 eyeshadow housed in a tiny palette (maybe half an inch longer than a credit card). The eye primer performs really well, but I find the brush head to be a tad too big - it's a little awkward to apply the shadows on my lids. However, the obvious star of the show are the eyeshadow.
I like Alhambra (shimmery champagne-pink) just fine - it's too light to use for anything but to highlight the inner corner and the brow bone. I'm not too fond of Bellisima (matte taupe) because I find it too cool thus clashing with my very yellow undertone. Predictably, I favor Kalahari (shimmery warm pink), Galapagos (chocolate brown with gold shimmers) and Coconut Grove (matte dark brown). I find Night Clubbing (black with an olive undertone) a little dry, making it a little harder to blend.. or maybe that's just me.
At $59, the set is a little expensive but the quality of everything included is such a great value for money. Definitely worth your money.
NARS & God Created Woman Palette is still available in the NARS website, Sephora & Space NK. By the way, they just released a new set called NARS ♥ New York Set - you might want to check that one out, too!
