Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in 01 Dark Brown

Pardon the sudden influx of Korean cosmetics review on my blog - I'm currently widening my ~horizon makeup wise. Anyway, if I was given only 5-minutes to do my makeup everyday, I'd spend a minute of it doing my brows, and the rest will probably be spent lazing around the bed. I honestly wouldn't care so much if you see my zit marks, but to see my bare, sparse brows? Que horror.

I picked up Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in 01 Dark Brown (Php128) a few weeks ago, and have been testing it ever since. I like no-nonsense makeups, so I prefer powders for my brows only because I am so used to using it that I can do my brows in under a minute. But I figured that it'll be nice to have a brow product that I can just chuck inside my makeup bag without having the need to bring a brush with me.

I don't have a lot of experience with eyebrow pencils, so I struggled quite a bit when I first tried it. It's less waxy than your usual brow pencils but it's pigmented. & as with all pigmented brow pencil, you need to have a light hand while using this, else you'd wind up with a Chav brows (and no one likes the look of that!) Once I got the hang of using this however, I actually find myself liking it more and more. It stays on really well, though admittedly, less hours compared to when I use my MAC Espresso.

My only qualm about the Drawing Eye Brow is the amount of product it has! Look at the photo above - that's exactly how little product you will get. But I guess for P128, who am I to complain, right? At least I don't have to sharpen it!

How long does it take you to do your brows? :)

  1. I like your philosophy on 5 minute makeup. I think you should put it up on Youtube haha.

For me, after brows have been weeded, it takes very little time as I just follow the lines and fill in gaps. When they start to get straggly it becomes more obvious that I actually have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm really liking the look of those flattened pencils and didn't know Etude House did one. And for P128? That seems like a great deal! Though I do have an eye on the Smashbox Brow Tech to Go, which has a gel counterpart. Maybe the EH one is a good place to start to see if that style of pencil is something to work with, before splurging on the other one. :D

  6. I have the version of Face Shop! I think it costs around 300+ but its my favorite too! It comes with a brush on the other end. Looks a lot like Etude's too.
