There are three brand that immediately comes to my mind when someone mentions hand creams: L'occitane, Soap & Glory and Kiehl's. I've tried the L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream before, and liked it. But when the sun is in full force (like right now), I find that the L'occitane can get a little heavy on the hands. I wanted something a little more lightweight to use all-year round.
Luckily, I received a couple of tubes of the Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve from a friend when I went to SG. Would you believe that this 30ml tube is just a deluxe sample? Fab.
I've heard about a lot of raves especially from UK beauty bloggers. But is it really worth the hype? The answer to that is a big Y E S. Here are some reasons why: It has thick consistency, though it's not as thick as L'occitane, so it feels extremely light when rubbed on the hands. It feels luxuriously silky when you apply it on your hands, and it gets easily absorbed by your skin. It doesn't have that "glove-like feeling" that you can get when you slather on lotion. Do you know what I mean? When you can feel an uncomfortable heat? Yes, none of that whatsoever. It's also unscented. Perfect. I love this so much that I keep it under my pillow since I find myself reaching for it a lot in the middle of the night (airconditioned room = dry hands!)
What do you use to prevent dry hands? :)
