L'oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain ($9.99/Php595) is the drugstore's answer to the much coveted YSL Glossy Stain ($34). The L'oreal Caresse Shine has been well-received by the blogging community, so when I got one from my BDJBox, I just had to try it out immediately. Housed in a plastic mirrored tube, the Caresse Shine looks very classy and not at all cheap.
On the tube, L'oreal Caresse Shine in Milady looks like a pretty light lilac shade, but upon application, it's definitely not light. The color is almost like a darkened berry reminiscent of what used to be my favorite MAC lipstick - Rebel. It feels... oddly enough, foamy and sticky upon application. But nothing bad, really. The finish is shiny, but nothing like the stickiness of MAC lipglass. It has a doe-foot wand which makes application very easy. The staying power is great - 4-5 hours, and as the name implies, it stains. When the shine and most of the color fade away, it leaves your lips with a very subtle stain. Pretty.
I'm pretty sure Asia & Australia have a completely different shade range from the ones released in the US & UK. Are the formula also different? Because mine is s h e e r. Swatches I've seen online beg to differ - I could have sworn they were more pigmented than this one. Hmm.
