Whenever I leave the house, I spend the least attention to my hair (and by least attention, I mean none). As the phrase goes, I literally just "wash and wear" it. Not really out of pure laziness, but as you can see on the photo above, my hair honestly do not need to be styled at all. But sometimes, humidity hits, and that's when I need to put a little more effort to fixing my hair (and by little I mean I use ONE product). Enter: ALTERNA Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist ($24). I got this 30ml sample from Sephora a few months ago. I took this with me on my last trip to Singapore, and I was very impressed by how much it tamed my hair versus the heat & the humidity in the country.
ALTERNA Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist is a 3 in 1 product - it helps regenerate your hair, enhances shine and it can also be a heat protecting spray. It's a very versatile product. Sometimes, I spritz this all over my damp hair, fluff up my curls, then let it air dry. I don't usually use blow-dry to dry my hair because I find that it tends to disturb my natural curls. But when I really need to use it - I spray this all over my hair, use the blow-dry (aiming it downwards), and I'm done.
When I use this oil mist, my hair doesn't get frizzy at all. No frizz, no static, no nothing - just nicely curled hair. Despite it being an oil-based product, this doesn't make my hair greasy and it also doesn't weigh it down. It also makes my hair super soft and shiny, and it helps that it smells really good.
*Additional products I use: I use whatever shampoo & conditioner I have, usually Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo & Conditioner - I wash my hair everyday. On days when I want to straighten my hair, I use the TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray. Once a week, I use the Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo to deep-cleanse my hair.
What's your hair care routine? :)
