I posted a FOTD on my Instagram a couple of days ago, and got some rather good comments about it (in real life!) That's basically how I do my face everyday since a couple of weeks ago. It's super easy, so I thought I'd show you how I did it..
After cleansing my face and putting on sunblock, I primed my face using Tarte Clean Slate Poreless 12-Hr Perfecting Primer to hold my makeup base better. It's a pretty good primer, actually. It has a silicone-like finish, and leaves your face pretty matte. I also drew on my eyebrows using an angled brush & MAC Espresso eyeshadow. The shade is a little too dark/harsh on me now that I have black hair again, so I'm looking for another alternative (MAC Charcoal Brown perhaps?)
I then put on my foundation, L'oreal Lucent Magique Foundation (it's the same one as US' L'oreal Lumi foundation!), using a flat top brush. I find that the foundation gets a little streaky when I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. It's such a nice foundation! It's not the longest lasting foundation I've ever tried, but it's amazing if you want to achieve a nice luminous finish! Full review to follow. :)
In the Instagram photo, I used the MUFE Full Cover concealer to cover my spots, but I'm testing out a new product - Tony Moly Prestige Carat Dual Concealer. Again, full review to follow but three words to describe it: SUPER WORTH IT.
After setting everything using Maybelline Dream Matte Powder, I put on my ever so favorite blush MAC Cheek and Cheerful! The shimmers may be too much for some people, but I love how it perfectly it reflects the light and makes you look glowing when you use it. A great alternative for this is NARS Luster or ELF Peachykeen. Any shimmery peach blush would do! I would stay away from pink blushes for this look because I want this to be as "natural" as possible. Any MAC MSF would be nice to use as a highlighter, if you don't own any shimmery blushes. :) I top it of with another favorite, MAC Cherish lipstick. And voila, done!
What's your go-to makeup look? :)
