I haven't really bought anything from MaxFactor (aside from their False Lash Effect Mascara which was amazing!) because I find that for a drugstore brand, I find it to be pretty pricey. I was walking along the MaxFactor counter last week when I saw their nail polish display. At P245, the price range was quite affordable if you compare it with OPI, Orly, etc. I couldn't resist, so I had to buy one!

I've been looking for a good dupe for my favorite nail polish, so when I saw Ruby Fruit, I thought it would be a good alternative for the Rouge Noir. I didn't think I'd actually find a dupe of it! Ruby Fruit is a beautiful dark plum with hints of brown mixed in. As you can see in the last photo, Chanel Rouge Noir is just the tinnnniest bit more dark. Put 3 coats of Ruby Fruit, and you'd have the perfect dupe.

MaxFactor Glossfinity promises "glossy nails for up to 7 days." I applied 2 coats of it, and it really was super glossy. I didn't put any top coat because I want to find if their claim was true, and I have to say, after 7 days I was pretty impressed. It did chipped, but the glossiness of the polish was still there.

The best thing about this nail polish line is it's formulation. It wasn't as thick & goopy as the Chanel one. I'm not the best when it comes to applying nail polish so the thin consistency of the nail polish made a much smoother application. The brush was a huge step up, too. It's not as big as the OPI one, not as thin as the old Essie brush. It's just.. well, perfect.
