Nectarine Blossom and Honey makes me think of one hot summer day, lazing on a lounge chair, in a garden full of sweet Nectarine trees. It's the sweetest perfume I have by far, but it's not so sickeningly sweet that I can't wear it on a humid day. It's not normally the scent I go for - I love crisp, fresh scent (think D&G Light Blue, Silk by Zara, Chanel eau Fraiche) - but when the sales attendant made me smell Nectarine Blossom and Honey, I knew I have to get it. The smell is very feminine, and shall I say, the perfect sexy daytime perfume? It's such a gorgeous, gorgeous scent. The dry down is even more beautiful with the Honey being a lot more prominent - it turns even warmer sort of like a freshly baked Peach pie. Sadly, it doesn't last long on me, you'd still get a whiff of it after a few hours, but it's very faint. For an expensive perfume, I was expecting a longer staying power.
Before buying a Jo Malone perfume, please consider going to an actual store. See, after doing a lot of research, my Mom bought me French Lime Blossom, but when I got a whiff of it, I hated it. I seriously hated it, I wanted to cry for fear that I wouldn't get to return it. Thankfully Lane Crawford has great return policy, so I was able to exchanged it for this. Jo Malone has great service, the attendant will help you go through all of their perfumes before you decide which to get! Researching is good (I trust Fragrantica), but remember. people has their own preferences. So, do learn a lesson from my mistake: sniff before you buy! :) Oh, I got a sample of Vanilla & Anise, and I love it! I may splurge on that one next.. hmm.
What's your favorite perfume? :)
