OPI Did You 'ear About Van Gogh

Oooh, OPI, are you serious with that name? Mmmm isn't that just the wittiest nail polish shade naman ever!? Did you 'EAR about Van Gogh! Haaa. Get it, get iiiit? (Obviously, you do/should!)

I have been wanting Skulls & Glossbones from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection, but was totally dismayed that it got sold out so fast. Imagine my delight when I saw Did You 'ear About Van Gogh from the OPI Holland collection! At first glance, they may look similar because they're both Grey based, but I find that Skulls & Glossbones has a cool toned blue sort of green undertones while Did You 'ear About Van Gogh is warmer, with more of a neutral yellow (sometimes green!) shade to it. You can read a comparison and see swatches of both here. :)

When painted on my nail, it's surprisingly very, very flattering. It makes my hands look "clean". The Instagram photo is a little too Yellow based, but the swatch is near enough. It also applies evenly, does not streak whatsoever, and two coats are all that you need for an opaque finish. Oh, I have to tell you, OPI has the best brush ever! It's just the right size for a great application. It's also not flimsy! (Chanel, I'm side eying you so much right now!) Super worth the money!

What are your thoughts about OPI nail polishes? :)

  2. They really are expensive! Unfortunately, we just don't have decent local nail polishes! Jealous you have Barry M & Models Own there! x
