Bioderma Sensibio H2O

When I was in Hong Kong, I dropped by Mannings with the intention of purchasing a bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H2O. I left the store without one after balking when I saw the price (around 180HKD for 250ml). I know the Lisa Eldridge swears by it, but I'm still not convinced enough to spend that much amount of money on a makeup remover. On our last day however, my Mom & I were walking along Nathan Road when I saw some 500ml bottles of Bioderma Sensibio on display in Bonjour. I stopped to look at the price and what do you know, it was priced at 103HKD (which is roughly P600/$13)!! Such a great bargain, of course I had to buy it!

So, what do I think of it? Ahhhhmazing. I don't wear heavy makeup everyday, but for the purpose of this blog entry, I shall grace you with my presence...

Hello. (Wearing a layer of Revlon Colorstay Foundation, a layer of Rimmel 16h Foundation, ELF Eyebrow kit, MAC Dollymix heavily applied, random heavy eye makeup using Sleek & MAC eyeshadows, NARS Bangkok on my lips) And here's what happened after I removed my eye makeup using the Bioderma Sensibio:

Still not convinced?

That's after ONE swipe! With all the hype surrounding this product, I shouldn't be surprised that it delivers well, right? But I was, oh I was... I just haven't been amazed by a makeup product for so long. For my eyes, I put it over my lids for about a 30 seconds then I swiped the cotton downwards - this way, it removes my waterproof Magnum mascara so easily without any kind of rubbing. I've had some samples of the Shu Uemura makeup cleanser, and while I like it, I wasn't too keen on using it everyday since it's oil based. Bioderma Sensibio is, obviously, water based which is way better, in my opinion. It doesn't dry out my skin, doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, does not make it oilier, doesn't irritate my skin, I also didn't experience any breakouts.. such a perfect product for one with Acne prone &/or sensitive skin!

Have you tried this? How was it for you? :)

  1. I have this in a 250ml bottle which I bought online (funnily enough, at the Bonjour store!). I use it primarily for my eye makeup and I find that it's quite effective, but the main thing I like about it is that it's gentle. You do have to have a little patience with it though as you need to wait a while before wiping off product. Wish I could have a little trip to HK to pick up more bottles at 103KHD though ;)

  3. @ sleepandwater: I like how gentle it it, too! I used to use the Maybelline eye makeup remover, and when it gets into my eyes, it clouds it up!

I'm curious, how much did you get it for? :) I wish I bought another bottle, to be honest! Bonjour is crazily inexpensive!

  5. OMG! I totally need this! I wasted a lot on MAC's oil based make up remover. It works like you won't believe but it's oil, you know? I also don;t have plans on buying again because it's so expensive.

I'll be in HK next week, will definitely drop by Bonjour! :)

  6. @Ysa: Yeees, that was my main gripe about the Shu cleanser din! I'm not sure if every Bonjour does the same offer, but the one I went to was in Nathan Road in front nung large tawiran papuntang Harbour City! :)

    I DM'd you on Twitter pala! :)
