Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I ordered this foundation on Ebay 2 months ago. The seller was from the UK, so I was fully prepared to wait for a month to get the product. What I didn't know was that I had to wait for more than 2 months to get it! I kept on messaging the seller to ask the status of the foundation, but since it was just sent through regular airmail, it didn't have any tracking number so the seller couldn't help me much. I finally sent my cousin (who's working for the government) to drop by Philpost to check if they have my packages already. And what do you know, both of the packages were already there! And the branch got it last September 18! They have it for almost 2 months but they didn't send me any friggin' notifications at all. Philpost, why do I still use you, you fucking incompetent government corporation, you.

Anyway, on to the review!

I bought the shade 56 Light Bronze, but *Que horror* it's too dark & too pink on me! Yikes. I should have gone for the 54-55, I think. Or even a 53 - though I think that's pushing it too much? I'm not sure, what do you think?

I'm wearing it here, though I did pat on a lighter powder to set the foundation. It works, kind of. Ha. I mean, you couldn't really tell that I was wearing the wrong shade, no? ;)

On the foundation itself, it is probably one of the best foundations I've ever tried! And for the price, you really can't go wrong! It glides on when applying it, and it gives me a supple looking skin with a perfectly healthy glow! Super nice, man. I used my ELF Studio Line Powder Brush to apply the foundation - stippling it on first, then using small circular motions to apply it evenly. One pump gives me a light coverage, but it can be built up to a medium coverage without looking cakey! I wore this during my cousin's wedding, and it didn't budge at all. I can't actually say anything on the 16-hour wear claim, but I can vouch that it did last on me for 12 hours without any signs of blotching! And that's with much running around & dancing involve. Perfection. I had to blot my face after about 6 hours though, but the reception venue only had misting fans around, so that's kind of a given.

Will I repurchase? Yes, yes, yes! :-) But, I'm actually going to be selling this bottle that I have right now, and ordering another one in a shade (or 2!) lighter. I'm not looking forward to the waiting time, though!

  2. You should really try it! Definitely worth the raves it got from other people :)

Ooh, and have you seen the swatches of the MAC x Pugh collection? Quite disappointing!

  3. I know I just commented your last post saying I would spend a ton a MAC x Pugh - but then I looked up swatches :(
The only things I'd want are Strada (like you!) and maybe the Metal X in Ardent, but I've heard bad things about creasing with Metal X shadows. Such a disappointment.
